REI Labor Day Sale: My Top Picks

REI has great sales a few times a year. Both Memorial Day and Labor Day are big sales with end of and beginning of season deals. So here’s your chance to stock up on any camping gear or outdoor stuff you need before next summer. Here are my top finds in the REI Labor Day Sale (2020).

1. REI brand camp chair – We have two of the REI camp stowaway low chair. Honestly, it’s an item we held out on buying for too long. They’re super convenient and I just keep one in the back of the car. But we take both for car camping. $28 They also have a new cute one called Outward Low for $49.
2. Tote bag – force of nature, cute small tote $4
3. Hydroflask – wine or cocktail tumbler (ha!) for wine walks in the neighborhood. Or are they whine walks? Makes great gifts too $17
4. Hiking shoes and boots – I am a Merrells person, and it looks like there are a bunch of Merrells on sale. I recently got their hiking shoes MQM $61. I previously have like their light weight trail running shoes! And extra 20% for outlet items! Speaking of Merrells. These waterproof hiking boots are ridiculously cute. $150 So I won’t be buying them this year, but wishlisting!
5. REI sleep mats – their kids camp mat (kindercamp pad) is $35. Great deal for intro camping sleep mat for kids!
6. Swim – always a good time to pick up sale swim. Roxy rashguards from $17+, Kids swim from $5
7. Rain coats – 40% off All REI Coop brand rain jackets and rain pants for the whole family (women, men, kids, and toddlers sizes). As I mentioned in my post about kids winter gear, REI makes great kid rain coats. We have the Rainwall toddler rain jacket. $30 Rain pants – Toddler Rainwall rain pants are $15, women’s rain pants are from $35+. Cycling rain pants are also 40% off. I have a previous year version of the cycling rain pants. They are usable for biking or hiking.
8. Camp mug – some super cute sale camp mug options. This one is $16 though.
9. Camp towel – I keep one of these towels in my kiddo backpack (diaper bag). We use it for adventures, or even sitting on like a mini park blanket. I’ve had mine for 13 years and it’s still great. $12
10. Fjallraven – good time to grab a discounted Kanken mini backpack for kiddos. $64 instead of $80
11. Camp tables – this is an item we don’t have, but there are two cool camp side tables. Small, but useful! Kingdom Low table is $45 and Outward side is $35.
