REI Member Sale 2024: My Top Spring Picks!

REI’s Member Sale is here! While your annual dividends came out a couple weeks ago, now you have a reason to use them! I love the member sale because it’s a great time to get any gear you know you’ll be needing for the spring and summer season of outdoor adventures! I keep a running list of the latest REI 20% off coupons. But what are the best deals and things to buy during these semi-annual sales? Here are my top finds in the Member Sale this March. (The next big sale won’t be until May – around Memorial Day.)

The Member Sale looks a little different this year! In previous years, you would find tons of brands at 20-30% off during the Member Sale. So there weren’t a ton of items you could use your 20% off one full-price item coupon on. So consider it a wash this year! And if you’re waiting on single brand deals, you might find those on sale in the next big sale in May.

REI Member Sale: My Top Picks

Sea to Summit Dry Bags – $11.73-$19.73 – I love Sea to Summit’s dry bags. Great for kayaking, SUP, camping, and bikepacking! I have some of the Big River bags for things I really want to keep waterproof and then I use some of the thin lightweight ones as liners and organizers for backpacking and to put in pannier bags that I don’t want to take off my bike!
Wild Rye Cycling Top – $21.83 – I have a couple of the REI Swiftland running shirts that are similar to these which I love. They’re so lightweight – great for hiking and biking. The Wild Rye ones are normally $75, so for $20 I’m ready to give them a try. I have a pair of Wild Rye mountain bike shorts which I love so these look promising! And the neon yellow color is perfect for visibility when biking!
prAna Sky Canyon joggers – $36.73 – I got these in a sale last year and they’re are so cute and comfy. They have some crop to them though, so best for shorter heights!
Hydro Flask 32oz with handle – $24.73 – while you’ll usually find some kind of Hydro Flask on sale, if you’re looking for one these are a great size. Perfect for keeping in the trunk of your car in summer as a backup water bottle and great for car camping as well.
REI Co-op Midweight Kids Baselayers – $16.83 – Spring is the perfect time to start stocking up on next winters layers for those growing kiddos! We’ll be needing to size up next season, so I’ve had these just waiting in my cart for a sale.
Kamik Snowfall P2 Winter Boots – $36.83 – Another great winter item to scoop up during spring sales.
Thule Roof box or bike rack – $640 with your code MEMBER24. The 20% off sales are a great time to get a big item like a bike rack, that you’ll be able to use all season! I can vouch for the Thule XTR T2 Pro bike rack and roof box. I love that it doesn’t take two people (yes, it’s heavy, but doable!) and with the wheels easy to move. And the rails are large enough to fit a fat bike. Reg price $800. We’re finally at the stage that we need to upgrade our Thule 2 bike rack with a 2 bike add-on to make it a 4 bike rack. End of an era!
Goodr OG Polarized Sunglasses – $25 – If all else fails and you don’t need much – spring is the perfect time to replace your scratched sunglasses before summer!
