While we started with a Strider Balance Bike at 18 – 24 months, by age 3 our little one was ready for a pedal bike! He figured out how to pedal on the 2nd day of trying the bike out (even without ever using a trike or that kind of pedaling motion!). I attribute that to 1. his mastery of the balance bike first, and 2. The design of the Woom bike is fantastic for smaller kids to learn on. You can read more about my review of the Woom 2 here. The Woom 2 is $359, and rarely discounted so when they are running a sale or freebies it’s a great time to buy. They do have great resale value though. So I’m confident we’ll be able to sell this bike when we’re ready for the Woom 3!
